Sadly, the day is coming where we will bid Diane Perry our fondest farewell and wish her our best in her new and exciting adventures. From 12:00 until 4:00 pm Saturday 15 June, there will be a garden party at BJAB. Please join Mrs. Patricia Demaertelaere, owner of BJAB and party host, in thanking Diane for her outstanding leadership and everything that she has done to make BJAB a beacon of academic excellence. Lunch will be catered. The PTA has invited a magician to entertain us and will also be presenting a short surprise production! Lunch will be catered.
Leaving BJAB at 9 am, children in Reception to Year 6 will travel to The Royal Brussels Cricket Club (Ohain) for the Annual Sports Day. Parents are invited to come and watch at the Cricket Ground and also help serve drinks to the children throughout the day. A must if it is a hot, sunny day. This is an all-day event so bring a packed lunch. Further travel details & arrangements will be sent out. Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten will remain at school and have Sports Day in the playground.
On 30 May, 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm, please join us in welcoming Mrs. Sarah White, the incoming Head Teacher of the British Junior Academy of Brussels. Drinks and appetizers will be served at this informal event which will offer parents the opportunity to meet Mrs. White.
Mrs. White is coming to BJAB from the British School of Doha, a school of approximately 900 pupils where she has been Head Teacher for the last two years. Mrs. White will be at school for the week of 28th May preparing for her start at the beginning of August 2013.

A big thank you to all of the BJAB children and families who supported the Lions Heraldic Club of Brussels 30th Swimarathon. The money raised will be going to 2 special Belgian projects - Nos Pilifs and T’Vosje as well as the Lions Club’s regular projects.
BJAB has participated in the Swimarathon for more than 12 years. Well done, to everyone who took part and to those kind people who donated towards this event. Our school should normally have raised about €1,000!
