The importance of links between parents and teachers cannot be over emphasised and it is our aim that we work together to give the best possible support to our children.
We produce a monthly Newsletter for families which detail events and calendar dates for the month ahead. We also reflect on some of the ‘happenings’ which have taken place in school and attach information about extra-curricular activities.
We also have a "News and Events" section on the website, where you can find our school calendar and information on special events within the school.
Our communication is increasingly sent by email and as updates on the school’s website. Additional letters of a more general nature are also sent home. We do recognise that parents have busy lives but we would ask you to please take the time to read all our communications.
Written communications to the Head Teacher, Board of Governors or Proprietor should be sent to the following address:
Boulevard Saint Michel, 83
1040 Brussels
Belgium
email: info@bjab.org
If you have queries, concerns or ideas please share them with us!
Each pupil from Reception class upwards has a Journal de Classe which is used as a home / school communication log: any notes to school should be included in the Journal. The Journal is used to record daily homework, reminders and messages – please feel free to use it to communicate with your child’s class teacher. Parents are asked, both to sign the Journal daily - to show that the task has been completed - and to ensure that the child returns it to school the next day. In addition children will bring home:
These books are reminders for the children about individual areas of work that they will target. Please discuss your child’s targets with them and how they feel they are progressing. Targets will be reviewed and updated approximately every six weeks.
