Music classes
All children have music classes: the challenge is to discover something about music while finding the experience fun and enjoyable. In class, we sing and our enthusiastic efforts are developed in the school choir. We also introduce and explore the use of percussion instruments at the earliest ages, and the reading of music is taught as an integral part of the programme. Children take part in a range of musical games and learn to distinguish between the sounds of different instruments.
Outside the classroom, pupils have the opportunity to take private instrumental lessons - with the possibility of taking exams with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
